Well, I am a little Zimbabwean girl who has lived most of my life in Durban, South Africa. I studied chiropractic in South Africa and qualified end of 2005 at the Durban University of Technology. My older brother is a chiropractor and so was hoping to have a family practice one day…SO watch this space!!!
Why did I study chiropractic??? Like many people I suffered from headaches and migraines my whole life. I tried many different pills, gels and quirky ideas, unfortunately nothing really worked for me. Luckily my brother started adjusting me, while he was studying to be a chiropractor. The headaches and migraines are now confined to the past so I thought about all the people in a similar situation that I could help and knew that this was just for me.
I'm also a very active person. I have a passion to treat sports injuries and helping athletes. I realised how injury can put such a strain on an athlete’s life and how much I could help them through that. My upbringing was very sports orientated. My mom is an Olympic gold medallist in hockey 1980 and my dad played for the Springbok’s (South African rugby team) in the mid and late 70’s.
I really enjoy adjusting babies and children. They respond so very well to spinal care and are such a delight to work with.
Before coming to Guildford I had my own practice, on the beach and lived on the beach for many years. I know, I know…why move from temperatures of 30 and above to come to the bitter cold of England??? Well, I needed a change, I needed a challenge. Guildford is the perfect opportunity for me to achieve those things. I have new, fresh ideas and a passion to bring something extra ordinary to this already extra ordinary practice.
That's enough about me...what about you?
I look forward to meeting patients old and new to help you get well and stay well. Working as a team we can take your health to a place far beyond your expectations!
Yours in health
Natalie
